The Copper Spur is a backpacking tent renowned for its exceptional balance of light weight, comfort, and durability. In the latest version, the use of HyperBead™ fabric makes the structure even lighter, more waterproof, and more robust—without the need for water-repellent coatings. Designed for demanding three-season conditions, it offers generous space and features in an impressively compact package.

Its freestanding architecture provides stability and interior volume without the need to stake down every corner. Two large doors and vestibules offer easy access and flexible gear storage. The awning-style doors extend the sheltered area and can be propped up with trekking poles or guy lines included with the tent. Ventilation is optimized with low vents in the doors, upper vents in the rainfly, and dual-direction zippers that allow airflow from both the top and bottom.

Inside, the tent features a spacious 3D storage pocket, multiple ceiling pockets, and gear loops for hanging equipment or a lantern. A Quick Stash keeper lets you secure the door out of the way quickly. Setup is simple thanks to the intuitive TipLok™ buckle system and cross-pole design. The tent includes eight lightweight Dirt Dagger™ stakes and comes with an EZ Pack stuff sack that speeds up packing and compression.

Materials:

The rainfly and floor are made from 15D HyperBead™ nylon with a 20D ripstop structure and a 1500 mm waterproof rating. No added PFAS chemicals are used. The inner tent is a combination of breathable 15D nylon, reinforced 20D ripstop panels, and 15D polyester mesh. The pole system features DAC Featherlite (NFL, NSL, and pressfit) components, and the seams are taped without the use of solvents, PVC, or VOCs.
