Autumn sleet in the mountains, a summer thunderstorm on a long-distance trail or the endless November drizzle on your own city streets: the Cumulus Silvica W’s is the women’s hardshell that keeps you dry when the sky opens up. The fully waterproof and windproof Pertex® Shield Revolve fabric reaches a 20,000 mm hydrostatic head and 20,000 g/m²/24 h breathability, so the jacket keeps protecting you through long rainy days without turning the climb to the summit into a sauna session.
Weighing just 260 grams, the Silvica W’s disappears into the side pocket of your backpack until the moment you need it. The women’s regular fit leaves room for a fleece or a light down jacket underneath, so the same shell works on summer treks as well as in the colder conditions of autumn and spring. We chose the Silvica for our range as a versatile, hard-wearing shell that is still light and packs down small.
The helmet-compatible hood with a stiffened brim and dual adjustment, together with a high chin guard, keeps rain off your face even in sideways wind. A waterproof YKK® AquaGuard zip, Velcro® cuffs and an adjustable hem seal the jacket tight, while two side pockets keep your gloves, snack bar and phone within easy reach.
The Silvica is also a responsible choice: the fabric is made entirely from recycled polyester, the DWR treatment is PFC-free and the mono-material jacket is fully recyclable at the end of its life. It is made in Poland, and Cumulus backs it with its Lifetime Experience warranty.

The completely wind- and waterproof Pertex® Shield Revolve™ fabric, with its highly breathable 2.5-layer PFC-free membrane, offers reliable protection from the elements. It not only keeps your gear light, it also leaves a smaller impact on the planet. The fully recyclable mono-material is made entirely from recycled polyester, so it can be efficiently reclaimed at the end of its useful life.
The Silvica’s regular fit makes layering over your favourite base and mid-layers easy, without feeling too loose or restrictive. A fully adjustable hood with a stiffened peak provides excellent coverage, while a high chin guard adds extra protection against rain and wind. Light enough to stash in your pack, it is an essential piece of gear for any outing.
