Farpointe Alpha Crewneck is a mid-layer with a very high warmth-to-weight ratio and quick drying time. Alpha Crewneck is as warm as a fleece shirt double the weight. The pack size is very small due to the open weave of the fabric. This is ideal, as the shirt takes up minimal space and weight in your pack.
Excellent for tough conditions – there are multiple stories of how a quick-drying Alpha shirt has saved a hiker’s bacon after a downpour.
Unisex product, men’s sizes. The sizes run small, so we recommend choosing one size larger than usual. Let us repeat: choose one size larger than usual.
Farpointe Alpha Crewneck
Farpointe Alpha Crewneck is a warm and ultralight hiking shirt. The fabric breathes exceptionally well. What’s more, the Alpha Crewneck dries quickly, making it an excellent choice for challenging conditions.
Wear the Farpointe Alpha Crewneck as a mid-layer or directly against your skin during hiking or skiing. The fabric feels soft against the skin. This shirt is incredibly lightweight, and with a weight of 83/99 grams (60/90 gsm, size M), you get a technically advanced and warm mid-layer. Not only is it light, but the Alpha Crewneck also packs down compact thanks to its mesh-like structure.

Please note: The Alpha Direct fabric has an open, mesh-like, and fuzzy weave. For this reason, it’s not recommended to wear the shirt as an outer layer when bushwhacking, as branches are sure to snag on it. Wear a windbreaker over the shirt.

I ordered both colors and both of the times the color isn’t represented correctly in the pictures at all. Also the neckline doesn’t look like it does in the pictures, an on model picture would’ve helped a lot.
