The Halti Kilpisjärvi–Pältsan hiking map covers one of Finland’s most iconic and beloved wilderness areas: the majestic Saana fell and the rugged mountains that surround it. The Käsivarsi wilderness is known for its demanding terrain and rapidly changing conditions, making reliable navigation essential for every hiker and adventurer.

This detailed map spans the northernmost tip of Finland’s Käsivarsi region, extending across the borders into Sweden and Norway. It features a scale of 1:50,000 (1 cm on the map equals 500 m in the terrain) and includes marked routes such as the Nordkalott Trail, paths and huts along the route to Halti, and other key trekking landmarks.

Perfect for all types of outdoor activities around Kilpisjärvi, the map also includes a separate, more detailed section (1:25,000) of the Kilpisjärvi area and Saana fell. To the west, it reaches as far as Sweden’s Pältsan fell, and in the north it extends beyond Halti to the Guolásjávri parking area in Norway. The map also features Malla Strict Nature Reserve, the Tenomuotka wilderness hut in the east, and the Ailakkajärvi and Termisvaara huts in the south.

Based on data from the National Land Survey of Finland and complemented with Swedish and Norwegian map information, the map clearly displays hiking routes, huts, rest areas, and service points.
