Sawyer Cleaning Coupling

The Sawyer Cleaning Coupling is a lightweight adapter that lets you backflush your Sawyer Squeeze or dual-threaded Sawyer MINI water filter using a standard 28 mm plastic water or soda bottle. It eliminates the need to carry a separate cleaning syringe, making filter maintenance easy both at home and in the field.

Simply attach the coupling to your filter, screw a bottle filled with clean water onto the other end, and squeeze water through the filter in reverse to restore flow. Repeat as needed until water passes freely again.

The coupling can also be used with gravity filtration systems. For best results, avoid tightening the bottle completely so that air can enter the system during filtration.
