The Sawyer Micro Squeeze is a reliable water filter designed for demanding adventurers. It’s a popular choice among long-distance hikers, known for its fast flow rate and durability. The Micro Squeeze is an excellent option for those who need an efficient and versatile filter for purifying water from natural sources.

Featuring Sawyer’s 0.1-micron hollow fiber membrane filter, the Micro Squeeze removes 99.99999% of bacteria, including salmonella, cholera, and E. coli, as well as 99.9999% of protozoa like giardia and cryptosporidium. Additionally, it filters out all microplastics, ensuring the water is safe to drink.

The Micro Squeeze is designed for easy use during hikes and treks. Simply fill the included soft bottle or any compatible threaded bottle with water from a natural source, attach the filter (compatible with 28mm threaded bottles), and squeeze the water through the filter. It can also be connected directly to hydration systems, making it a versatile choice for various situations.

Regular backflushing is recommended, especially when the flow rate decreases. Backflushing is done by pushing clean water through the filter using the included cleaning syringe.

Which Sawyer model is right for you?
Choose the Micro Squeeze if you want an ultra-light filter for occasional use. Opt for the Squeeze if you prefer a faster flow rate and less frequent backflushing. The Squeeze is also the best choice for groups of hikers and is the most reliable filter for long-distance hikes. Sawyer also offers the Mini filter, but it’s not included in our selection due to its significantly lower flow rate.

Note:
Once used, the filter is not freeze-proof, and the warranty does not cover freeze damage. In cold conditions, carry the water filter in your pocket to prevent damage, and keep it in your sleeping bag overnight.
