Svala Airbase Deluxe is a versatile, high-performance long-sleeve base layer designed for changing conditions. Built on the popular Airbase Original, it has been further refined with smooth-knit panels on the chest, shoulders, and inner elbows. The result is a well-balanced combination of clean appearance, all-day comfort, and the superior thermoregulation and moisture-transfer performance of Airbase mesh exactly where it matters most.

The smooth-knit chest panel gives the shirt a polished look even when an outer layer is unzipped during breaks. Smooth fabric at the inner elbows improves comfort when arms are bent for long periods, such as during stationary hunting, long cycling sessions, or riding.

The highly elastic, close-to-skin mesh knit traps air within its structure and adapts to body temperature. This creates a natural temperature-balancing effect regardless of activity level: it cools when you are warm and insulates when it is cold. During high-intensity activity, the shirt performs well even around -15 °C, and in colder conditions it works excellently as part of a layered thermal system. Polypropylene does not absorb moisture but moves it efficiently away from the skin, keeping you dry and comfortable.

The silver-ionized fiber inhibits bacterial growth, helping the shirt stay fresh and odor-free for longer periods. The antibacterial treatment is integrated into the fiber during manufacturing, so its effectiveness lasts for the entire lifetime of the garment. All seams are flatlocked to prevent pressure points or chafing, even during prolonged wear.

Svala Airbase Deluxe is suitable for professional use and leisure activities year-round. It is especially popular among hikers and cyclists, but performs equally well across a wide range of activities on land, water, and in the air.

Care instructions
Wash at 60 °C, preferably in a laundry bag to prevent the mesh from catching on zippers or hook-and-loop fasteners. Airing the garment between uses can extend the time between washes.
