The Nexus is ULA’s latest ultralight backpack, designed with special attention to efficient and intuitive gear carry. Its frameless construction keeps weight to an absolute minimum, while a generous pocket layout sets the Nexus apart from many other ultralight packs. The tall side pockets and high-volume front pocket made from UltraStretch mesh are designed to swallow a surprising amount of gear.

A standout feature of the Nexus is its two open “avocado” side pockets. Beyond avocados, they’re ideal for items like tent stakes, rain gear, or snacks you want to grab without stopping. Large hipbelt pockets come standard, adding even more easy-access storage where it matters most.

The Nexus is built from Challenge Sailcloth UltraGrid fabric. Its double-reinforced grid combined with 100 percent recycled 200D nylon makes it significantly stronger than typical 210D ripstop fabrics, without adding unnecessary weight.

Weighing around 540 g, the Nexus is designed for carrying loads up to 11.3 kg and delivers excellent comfort in a clean, minimalist setup. It’s available in multiple torso lengths and hipbelt sizes to ensure a dialed-in fit.

Nexus is made from Challenge UltraGrid fabric and UltraStretch mesh. UltraGrid is a reinforced 200D fabric made from fully recycled nylon, offering excellent tear and abrasion resistance. It’s produced with an environmentally responsible process that avoids VOCs, keeping durability high and impact low.

Measuring torso length

Stand upright and gently tilt your chin toward your chest.
Locate the C7 vertebra, the prominent bone at the base of your neck.
Using a flexible measuring tape, measure along the natural curve of your spine from the C7 vertebra down to the top of the hip bone.
This measurement is your torso length.

Tip: If you fall between two sizes, choose the smaller size.
