For many hikers thinner is better when it comes to socks. Thin sock stays drier as it does not absorb as much moisture. It dries faster when the weather clears up. Paradoxically a wet thin sock can be warmer than a wet thicker sock, as body heat can warm a thin sock despite the moisture content in it. If your shoes fit well, you won’t need cushioning for blisters either.

These hiking socks feature soft terry loops underfoot and targeted protection over the ankle and Achilles.
