The Nalgene Ultralite is 40% lighter than the standard Nalgene bottle, making it an excellent choice for winter hikers who want a hot water bottle to warm up their sleeping bag. With a capacity of 1.4 liters, this bottle is quite generous. A couple of these, along with a vacuum bottle, are sufficient for ski trip’s morning and day, and you won’t need to bring a third bottle.
It’s also great for water filtering due to its wide mouth: it’s easy to filter water into this bottle using e.g. a Platypus Quickdraw.
