Enlightened Equipment Torrid Jacket is an ultralight classic: it has kept hikers warm in countless adventures throughout the years. With a featherlight weight of 215 grams (S-size), it is also one of the lightest synthetic insulated jackets. We have selected the premium ultrathin 7D shell for the Torrid versio to minimize weight and bulk.
Torrid Jacket utilizes Climashield Apex insulation, which is one of the warmest and most durable synthetic fills. It will keep its loft for a long time, unlike some other synthetic fill materials.

A favorite of long distance backpackers, The Enlightened Equipment Torrid Jacket offers warmth, wind protection, and moisture resistance at an ultralight weight. Designed to keep you warm while keeping your pack light, the jacket starts at just 215 g (size S). Built using 2oz/yd² CLIMASHIELD™ APEX synthetic insulation, the Torrid maintains warmth and breathability even when damp.
The smooth ultralight nylon fabric has a durable water repellent finish for better performance in light precipitation. The adjustable waistband and elastic cuffs keep warmth in and cold out. The hood adjusts with a shock cord, and a grosgrain zipper garage at the chin increases comfort. Zippered pockets keep the essentials at hand. The Torrid Jacket is slightly oversized to accommodate layers, and has raglan sleeves for a full range of movement. For those who won’t let weather get in the way, the Torrid Jacket is the perfect 3-season layer.

- This jacket features either a Black 10D/Charcoal 10D, Forest 10D/Charcoal 10D, or Graphite 7D/Salmon 7D nylon fabrics.
- Fabric colors might appear slightly different from images shown.
- 2oz/yd² CLIMASHIELD™ APEX insulation performs better than down in wet and humid conditions, dries quickly, packs small, and is easy to clean.
- CLIMASHIELD™ APEX weights may vary +/- 10% due to production variances.

Almost destroyed the jacket with a knife when i open the box. No protection between the jacket and the lid. Really slow delivery time! 1 week for delivery from Finland to Sweden. The jacket, i love it!
