Granite Gear Crown 3 Aluminum Stay

New for the Crown3 is the optional add-on capability of reinforcing the frame sheet with a U-shaped aluminum stay for treks that do require weights north of 15 kg.

The big question: do you need it? We personally have used the previous version of Granite Gear Crown that did not have the optional aluminum stay. Despite this, the frame sheet was able to carry everything we managed to pack in just fine. That being said, some Crown 3 owners might want to get one, as you never now when these are no longer available. The backpack itself will last for a long time!
